to all of you who anticipate the end of the winter season and these colder days, or are still buried in the last snows, this is what awaits you. so i send you this warmth, and this sun, and these blooms. it will come soon!

while you are indoors and keeping warm, and if you aren't already, start reading and enjoying the photography at Hula Seventy it will always make you feel good! and i just picked up this book (Andrea's work is featured in it) and it is in a WORD, fabulous! While I was at it, I also picked up this little gem and I can't stop looking at it. I reaaaallllly need a polaroid camera but I just don't know which one to buy?...

i am certain there is little else in this world as sublime as watching my child sleep. in her rest i see contentment and trust. the ability to let herself drift off, knowing all is right with her world. just this week, after 18 months home from China, and without any fanfare or fuss (and only an occasional suggestion from us), she asked to sleep in her own room, for the first time. and she's been happy as a lark each night, sleeping beneath the magic of her moon and stars night light that speckle the ceiling and walls. i am so proud of who she is and who she is becoming. i am so grateful for all that she has taught me.
