i am a mother

ellis

ransom
(pentax k1000, fuji neopan 1600, film)

these are the things i carry in my heart. the hope that you will soar and sleep well at night. that you will laugh and live abundantly. that you will nourish your body, mind, and soul and walk gently while standing firmly. that you will light the world around you from within. that no harm or ill will befall you. and when or if it does, you will learn to embrace either with grace.

(this weekend, the smallest of "r"s was tattooed to the pulse on the inside of my wrist, where i will carry it in memory of ransom, my first and best dog since childhood. he rallies still against his disease, teaching me that death has more to do with living than dying).

blessings blessings blessings to you and to you and to you this day!
